Are you using Hard wax on bare timber?
If so, ensure the surface has been sanded with fine paper prior to application and is clean and free from sanding dust.
APPLICATION
How to apply Feast Watson Hard Wax:
Achieve your newly polished furniture with these easy steps:
Apply a thin even coating of Wax using a soft dry cloth or pad.
Allow 5 minutes to dry - go make yourself a coffee!
Once dry, buff the surface until you are happy with the sheen level.
- Where a soft sheen is required on sealed timber, apply with 000 or 0000 steel wool, using light pressure and rubbing with the grain. Then buff to an even soft sheen using a clean, dry soft, cloth.
TIP: when using Wax on timber floorboards, a buffing machine and dry pad are recommended as a machine will generate more heat which enables the surface to set harder. Many coatings will be required on bare timber to achieve a durable finish.
Looking to make a creamy floor polish?
Immerse the Wax container in hot water to melt wax.
Add 250mls of pure turpentine per 125 grams of Wax until the desired consistency is achieved.
Apply a thin even coating using a soft dry cloth or Feast Watson Applicator and Floor Care Polish Sock.
Allow 5 minutes to dry then buff to desired sheen level.
- A buffing machine and dry pad will make buffing easier but the job can also be done with a clean dry cloth or Polish Sock.
